Renewal is required every year. You do not need to fly out of the country to apply for the visa at an Indonesian Embassy or incur the Embassy visa application fee.

Working Kitas Indonesia refers to a type of work permit issued bythe Indonesian government for foreign nationals who wish to workin the country.
The Kitas (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas) allows the holder to stay inIndonesia for a specified period of time and work for a specificemployer.
It is typically valid for one year and can be renewed annually.
The holder of a Kitas is also required to have a valid KITAS (LimitedStay Permit) card
